Welcome, Kids and Families!
The library is the perfect place for kids of all ages and their caregivers. Explore our collection of books and movies, join a storytime or STEAM event, and take the fun home by picking up an activity pack! Our friendly staff is passionate about helping our youngest patrons, so come get to know us in the Children's Departments at Argenta Library and Laman Library.

Play at the Library
- Visit one of our Stay & Plays in September for some free-form fun!
Tuesdays at Argenta from 3pm to 5pm
Wednesdays at Laman from 9am to 7pm - Test your skills of detection at our weekly Scavenger Hunts!
Wednesdays at Argenta from 9am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm

Visit Special Guests
- Join Fix-it Jr. with Jennie Promack! Register on the 7th to build a giant ruler.
- Kids ages 8-12 can take a sewing class with Jenna Jones!
- Read with a therapy dog on Monday, September 21st at 4pm at Laman Library! Our Newfoundland friend, Roux, visits every month to encourage kids of all ages to read. No registration required.
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
- Follow clues to spell a Spanish word at an Argenta scavenger hunt, and pick up a themed activity pack at Laman on September 18th!
- On September 26th, join us for a Health and Heritage Celebration in the morning, then come back in the evening for live lucha libre wrestling!

In August, North Little Rock libraries have storytimes almost every day of the week!
- Monday at 10:30am at Argenta Library
Start your week with a storytime adventure! - Tuesdays at 10am at Laman Library
Develop your preschool and elementary children's love of reading. - Wednesdays at 10am at Laman Library
Babies 0-23 months and their caregivers can enjoy a special made-for-baby storytime. - No storytime on Thursdays, so check out our calendar to learn about other fun events!
- Fridays at 10am at Laman Library
Wear comfy clothes and shoes and prepare for fun at Music and Movement Storytime! - Saturdays at 10am at Laman Library
After a busy week, come to Weekend Storytime for kids of all ages!
