Valentine's Weddings at Laman Library

Wedding planning can be stressful, time-consuming, and expensive. The library is a great place to reduce stress, save time, and keep your money in your pocket. So, how can we bring the two together?

In 2025, a group of library employees came together with a novel idea - what if we planned a wedding with decorations and food and fun, all completely for free? The event was a major success, and 8 couples tied the knot. 2026 introduced vow renewals, and couples new and old dedicated and rededicated themselves to each other.

Our Event, Your Generosity

Weddings are a team efforts, and these special events are made possible by donations from local businesses.

In both 2025 and 2026, North Hills Florist and Gifts beautified our space with luscious floral arrangements. For both weddings, Nothing Bundt Cakes have donated delicious cakes for our couples and their guests to enjoy. In 2024, local jewelry maker Bang-Up Betty donated hand-crafted trinkets to each couple.
