Great Stories Club: Teens, Books, and Much More at Laman Library

The Great Stories Club (GSC) is a discussion club sponsored by the American Library Association, but the focus of our GSC, run at Laman Library, is to provide a monthly club for teens who want to engage with BIPOC stories, authors, creators, and local organizations. GSC meetings at Laman Library are a monthly gathering that begins with a meal from a local eatery, such as pizza, tacos, wraps, or chicken, allowing teens to connect with one another. Following the meal, they dive into the month's chosen book. Even if a teen hasn't finished or started the book, they are encouraged to participate in the discussion. Each month, we'll be hosting a program highlighting a topic that's important for parents and guardians of our youngest patrons at the William F. Laman Public Library. Why not join the North Little Rock Public Library System, along with a community of 500,000 writers from around the world, to participate in National Novel Writing Month during the month of November!
